History
Our church was the first religious organization in Mitchell, dating back to 1879.
By 1882, a building lot at 4th & Rowley was secured,
and the new church building was dedicated in May 1882.
In May of 1952, the church in which we currently worship was constructed.
We are blessed with a design that is easily accessible for worship and fellowship.
Mission Statement
We are an experienced and prayerful congregation
looking to share our spirit of enthusiasm for Jesus Christ with the world.
Theological View
We are a theologically moderate rural church located in a small, growing city that believes:

-
God is the one unique Divine Being and he exists as three distinct persons, the Trinity: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, One God.
-
Salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone to the glory of God alone.
-
The Bible has absolute authority in all matter of faith and life, and it is the standard of life and conduct because it is the Word of God.
-
The head of the church is Jesus Christ, the ministers of the church are the members, and the pastor is our spiritual leader.

We believe in helping others:

-
Through Presbyterian Disaster Assistance and other mission organizations at the Presbytery, Synod, and General Assembly levels.
-
By feeding the hungry in our community, state, nation, and around the world.
